American President Donald Trump has urged Venezuela to immediately accept the return of prisoners and those interned in psychiatric hospitals, whom he accuses of having been "pushed" in the U.S. He threatened that, otherwise, the "price" for Venezuela will be "incalculable." In the context of rising tensions, the U.S. has intensified diplomatic and military pressure, deploying warships and F-35 aircraft in the region, accusing Nicolás Maduro's government of drug trafficking. Caracas denies the accusations and considers the American deployment a military threat.
