Donald Trump told reporters, during a trip on Air Force One, that he would take significant measures if Canada strikes a trade deal with China. He emphasized that he does not want Beijing to take control over Canada and warned that, if Ottawa continues down this path, he will impose 100% tariffs on Canadian goods. This threat underscores the trade tensions between the United States and China, as well as Trump's concerns about China's economic influence in the region.
