At the UN General Assembly, Donald Trump stated that NATO countries should shoot down Russian planes that violate the Alliance's airspace. Although he supported this idea, he specified that U.S. involvement depends on the circumstances. Trump praised Ukraine's courage and discussed security guarantees for the country. He also mentioned that he could intervene to convince Viktor Orban to stop purchasing Russian oil, in the context of pressures on NATO allies to impose sanctions on Russia.
