Donald Trump has said that Israel must decide how to proceed in Gaza, following the failure of negotiations with Hamas for a ceasefire and the release of hostages. He emphasized that Hamas had taken a "tough" stance and promised more humanitarian aid for Gaza. In contrast, a US government analysis disputed allegations of Hamas stealing humanitarian aid. Over 60,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks and the humanitarian crisis is worsening. Trump has called for US efforts in aid to be recognized.
