In an interview with NBC, President Donald Trump stated that silence would be a beneficial approach in relations with Iran, emphasizing that the suspension of contacts does not mean the resumption of military operations against it.

Trump explained that he will maintain the blockade on Iran, considering it a "piece of leverage," and stated that he is willing to wait to finalize an agreement. He also emphasized: "Discussions continue, at a rapid pace, with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

This reaction came after Iran announced the suspension of indirect message exchanges with the US due to Israeli military actions in Gaza and Lebanon, considering them a violation of the ceasefire agreement. Iran specified that it will resume discussions after the conclusion of Israeli operations.
