The President of the USA, Donald Trump, mocked the French President Emmanuel Macron's choice to wear sunglasses due to an eye condition during his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Trump commented on Macron's "nice sunglasses," who was diagnosed with a ruptured blood vessel in his eye. Macron addressed the issue in his New Year's speech, mentioning that his appearance is harmless and joked about the "Eye of the Tiger," referring to the song by the band Survivor.

Furthermore, Trump criticized France for profiting from the USA regarding prescription medications, threatening high tariffs if Macron does not raise their prices. Trump emphasized that France has "taken advantage of" the United States for 30 years, imitating Macron during his speech.
