Donald Trump was recently informed about military intervention options in Venezuela, in the context of his administration continuing to explore strategies to remove leader Nicolas Maduro. Although he received a wide range of options, including airstrikes and targeting drug trafficking facilities, Trump remains cautious, expressing reservations about the effectiveness of an intervention.
During this week's briefing, national security officials presented the operation 'Southern Spear', aimed at combating drug trafficking in the western hemisphere. USS Gerald R. Ford, the largest American aircraft carrier, arrived in the Caribbean as part of this military buildup. Although Trump had previously considered attacks, he recently stated that he is not considering military action in Venezuela, fearing possible risks and failures.
