According to The Atlantic magazine, the White House is analyzing the possibility of dismissing several high-ranking officials appointed by Donald Trump. Among them are Kash Patel, the FBI director, Daniel Driscoll, the Secretary of the Army, and Lori Chavez-DeRemer, the Secretary of Labor. The timing of these dismissals remains unclear, and Trump has not yet made a final decision. Kash Patel's case is the most discussed, considering the controversies surrounding his appointment, which was confirmed with difficulty by the Senate in February 2025.
Additionally, Trump recently dismissed Pam Bondi, the Attorney General, following criticism regarding the handling of the Epstein case, appointing a former personal lawyer, Todd Blanche, as interim. This is the second dismissal from his cabinet in less than a month, after Kristi Noem was dismissed from the position of Secretary of Homeland Security.
