American President Donald Trump has arrived in China, in Beijing, for his first official visit to the country since 2017, with the meeting taking place between May 13 and 15. Chinese Vice President Han Zheng led the welcoming delegation, and among the officials present are the U.S. ambassador to China, David Perdue, and the Chinese ambassador to the U.S., Xie Feng. The visit was initially planned for April, but was postponed due to tensions related to the U.S.-Israel war against Iran.

Trump is accompanied by a delegation of high-ranking American officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, as well as business leaders like Elon Musk. The agenda of the meeting will address important topics such as Taiwan, trade, the war with Iran, and artificial intelligence, with officials from both sides negotiating the details of the meeting for months. Xi Jinping will officially welcome Trump on Thursday morning, local time.
