American President Donald Trump expressed his satisfaction on Sunday regarding the signing of the defense pact between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey, made on August 7.

Trump emphasized on his Truth Social platform that this pact demonstrates the unity of the countries in the region and their ability to defend themselves effectively. Saudi Arabia, the host of the agreement, seeks to strengthen its security alliances, especially after threats from Iran and the resumption of conflict in Yemen, according to AGERPRES.

Analysts believe that this pact could reflect a distancing of the signatories from the United States, perceived as an increasingly unreliable ally, in the context of difficulties in intercepting threats from Iran and its allies.

The agreement comes in a context of attacks against Saudi Arabia and instability in the Middle East.
