The President of the USA, Donald Trump, held a meeting on Friday with key officials in the field of national security to discuss the next steps in the war with Iran.
The meeting took place at the White House, in the context of diplomatic efforts to reach an agreement to end the conflict. Although discussions are ongoing, no clear decision has been reached. Delegates from Qatar and Pakistan traveled to Tehran to mediate the negotiations, but the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry mentioned deep differences between the positions of Iran and the USA.
Additionally, American intelligence services reported that Iran is rapidly developing its military industrial base. Trump, frustrated by the pace of negotiations, received options for resuming military actions but decided to remain in Washington, canceling plans to attend his son's wedding.
Officials present at the meeting included Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Although there is optimism among some officials, it remains unclear how the sensitive issues between the two countries will be resolved.
