American President Donald Trump stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin should take action to end the war in Ukraine, during a press conference with Argentine President Javier Milei. Trump criticized the war, calling it 'horrible' and claiming that Russia has suffered enormous losses, estimating 1.5 million soldiers wounded or killed, a figure disputed by independent assessments. He praised Ukraine's resistance, noting that no one would have expected it to fight so much against Russia. Trump also mentioned the economic problems facing Russia, including long lines at gas stations, and emphasized that, although he had a good relationship with Putin, he does not seem willing to put an end to the conflict. Official estimates suggest that the number of Russian soldiers killed is much lower than the figure mentioned by Trump.
