Tragedy struck in Algeria during the decisive championship match between MC Alger and NC Magra, killing one spectator and seriously injuring ten others. MC Alger clinched the title after a 0-0 draw, but the incident at the July 5 stadium overshadowed the victory. The club confirmed the death of supporter Younes Amguzzi and mobilized players and management to donate blood. The trophy ceremony was canceled.
