The accident occurred near the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, where Qatari diplomats were in a car that overturned. The Qatari embassy has confirmed the death and announced that the injured will receive medical care and that the bodies will be repatriated. The incident comes after international negotiations in the city related to the conflict in Gaza, and ahead of a planned global summit.
