At least 42 people have died in a bus accident in northern South Africa

The accident occurred on Sunday on the N1 highway, near the town of Louis Trichardt, about 400 kilometers north of the capital Pretoria. The bus, which was heading from Eastern Cape to Zimbabwe and Malawi, went off the road, overturning into a ditch. Authorities have confirmed 42 deaths, but the exact number of victims is still being verified.
