A man has died in a New York clinic after being attracted to the magnetic power of an MRI machine.

Keith McAllister, 61, was killed at the Nassau Open MRI clinic in Westbury, Long Island, after being pulled by the MRI machine. The incident occurred while he was accompanying his wife for a knee checkup. The machine was opened and Keith, wearing an approximately 30-pound training chain, was violently pulled inside. He suffered a critical medical episode, which led him to hospital and was later pronounced dead.
