Wonsan Kalma, a new tourist resort in North Korea, was inaugurated by Kim Jong Un and welcomed its first group of Russian tourists, despite criticism from human rights organizations over harsh working conditions for the workers. The construction was carried out largely by forced labor, with the UN highlighting the use of "shock brigades". Although initially intended to attract 1 million tourists, only Russian agencies now offer tours to the complex, at significant prices.
