The one-day strike by TikTok employees in Berlin was organized to challenge the company's plans to replace 150 employees with artificial intelligence and subcontractors. The Verdi union accuses TikTok of outsourcing responsibilities and refusing to negotiate, putting workers in content moderation departments at risk. The company employs about 400 people at its Berlin headquarters.
