The incident happened on Saturday morning when Eiffel Tower security guards noticed three men climbing the monument. Police and firefighters intervened to order them down. Two of the men cooperated, but the third used a parachute to dislodge himself from the tower. All three were detained and will be referred to the public prosecutor's office for criminal disciplinary action. This incident recalls a similar case in July when two other men were also detained after a parachute jump.
