The winner of a £1 million prize won in the 19 August Lotto draw has not yet claimed the money, and the UK National Lottery is urging players to check their tickets.

The winning numbers were 4, 8, 10, 17, 23 and 28, while the bonus ball was 16. The winning ticket was purchased in the London borough of Richmond, but the holder's identity is unknown.

Allwyn, the National Lottery operator, said that people who no longer have the ticket in their possession can submit a claim for the prize. The claim must be submitted within 30 days of the draw, by Friday, 18 September.

Toby Moxham, director of Allwyn's winners' service, urged Britons to check their tickets and discuss the draw with family, friends, colleagues and neighbours. The operator hopes the person being sought will be identified soon.

If the winning ticket has been kept, the prize can be claimed until 15 February 2027. However, lottery rules set a shorter deadline for people who no longer have the ticket.
