Steven Cheung, the White House communications director, reacted vehemently to Jimmy Kimmel's comments about Melania Trump's documentary, made at the Oscars. Kimmel joked that the documentary, for which Amazon spent 75 million dollars, focuses on Melania walking through the White House and trying on shoes. Cheung called Kimmel a "classless hack" and criticized the way comedians project sadness onto others. Kimmel's comments sparked reactions from Trump supporters, who accused him of "Trump syndrome" and misogyny. During the ceremony, Kimmel presented the award for Best Documentary, which was won by "Mr. Nobody Against Putin," and commented on restrictions on freedom of expression in certain countries. Kimmel acknowledged that he is tired of making jokes about Trump, highlighting the absurdity of the current political situation. Melania's documentary had a limited release and is now available on Prime Video.
