Delcy Rodriguez, the Vice President of Venezuela, announced on television that the government has no information about the whereabouts of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, demanding evidence from the United States that they are alive. The statement comes in the context of a post on Truth Social by Donald Trump, who claimed that Maduro and his wife had been captured and taken out of the country.

An official American source confirmed that Maduro was caught during an operation by an elite unit of special forces. Additionally, the President of Colombia announced the deployment of military troops at the border with Venezuela, following the condemnation of the attack on Venezuela.
