The U.S. Treasury has extended the deadline for the sale of Lukoil assets by 3 weeks, until December 13.

This decision comes before the sanctions imposed by the Trump administration take effect. According to the new regulations, any sale must be authorized by the Department of the Treasury, and a recently issued license allows transactions necessary for negotiating or finalizing sales contracts for Lukoil International GmbH. Additionally, the Treasury has authorized the maintenance and liquidation of Lukoil service stations outside of Russia, provided that payments to blocked persons are made into blocked accounts.
