Iran has launched missiles at British military bases in Cyprus

The British Defense Minister, John Healey, announced that Iran launched two missiles towards Cyprus, where thousands of British soldiers are deployed. Although the missiles did not reach their destination, having been intercepted, Healey emphasized the increasing risks of retaliatory attacks from Iran. He mentioned that British forces shot down Iranian drones that threatened British interests in the Middle East. The United Kingdom has strengthened its defense measures, deploying additional fighter jets and radars in Cyprus and Qatar. Healey stated that, although the situation is serious, the United Kingdom has not yet decided to raise the alert level in the country. The British Army is collaborating with allies to protect the United Kingdom's interests in the region, without participating in offensive attacks against Iran.
