A Russian Su-57 fifth-generation fighter jet crashed on July 23 in the Odintsovo district, near Moscow, during a training flight.
The pilot managed to eject safely, and no casualties were reported on the ground. Witnesses mentioned that the aircraft exploded after the pilot left it. Russian authorities have not provided details about the cause of the incident.
The Su-57 is Russia's most advanced fighter jet, featuring stealth capabilities and designed for air superiority and attack missions. Although Russia operates approximately 30 such aircraft, the number is much lower than the target of 76 planes planned by 2027.
