The spokesperson for the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, announced that peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine are on hold, without significant progress since the discussions in Istanbul. Russia continues to demand the demilitarization of Ukraine and the cession of the claimed regions, while Ukraine rejects these conditions and requests security guarantees from its allies, fearing a possible Russian aggression even after a peace agreement.
