The Supreme Court of Brazil rejected the request for house arrest on health grounds for former president Jair Bolsonaro, incarcerated for attempted coup, according to a court ruling published on Thursday.

The far-right former president (2019-2022) is serving a 27-year prison sentence for orchestrating an operation aimed at keeping him in power, following his defeat against Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the 2022 elections.
