The 'Nuestra América' initiative, which benefits from the support of Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, has evolved from a flotilla to an international convoy coordinated by air, land, and sea, in response to the humanitarian crisis in Cuba.

The coalition made up of social movements, unions, deputies, and humanitarian organizations will transport food, medicine, and essential goods, in the context of acute fuel shortages and power outages that the island is facing.

The situation has worsened due to the pressures exerted by the United States on oil deliveries from Venezuela. Thunberg confirmed support for the convoy, emphasizing the importance of international solidarity in the face of imperialism. David Adler, the organizer of the convoy, compared this initiative to the Flotilla for Gaza, highlighting the common goal of challenging the blockades that affect civilian populations.
