The left bloc, led by Labour Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, has achieved a narrow victory in the parliamentary elections in Norway, with a slim majority in the Storting. This victory comes against the backdrop of the rise of anti-immigration populist right. Støre will need to negotiate with smaller parties to pass important laws, including the budget, in a complicated political climate marked by concerns over the cost of living and international conflicts.
