The Kremlin reacted to speculation regarding possible connections of American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein with Russian intelligence services, following the publication of compromising documents from his case. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian presidency, stated that these accusations are "serious" and emphasized that they do not deserve his briefing time. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced an investigation related to this matter, in the context of nearly 3.5 million files from the Epstein case being published by the U.S. Department of Justice. Epstein, known for the sexual exploitation of young women, was found dead in his cell in 2019, before he could be tried. His case involved famous personalities, including former Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton.
