The public prosecutor's office in Istanbul announced the issuance of arrest warrants for 37 suspects, including Eyal Zamir, the head of the Israeli Defense Forces. He accuses the Israeli state of genocide and crimes against humanity committed systematically in the Gaza Strip. The prosecutor refers to the bombing of the 'Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital' in Gaza, built by Turkey, which was attacked by the Israeli army in March, with Israel claiming that the hospital was being used by Hamas fighters. Turkey, critical of Israel's actions, participated last year in the genocide proceedings against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
