The Polish Competition and Consumer Protection Authority (UOKiK) fined the online shopping platform Temu nearly 6 million zlotys (about 1 million euros) for misleading promotional practices, accusing the company of not displaying the lowest price from the last 30 days, as required by EU rules. The decision, which can be contested, comes amid increasing pressure on Temu at the European level, where the platform is being investigated for possible foreign subsidies as well as for failing to comply with product safety and consumer protection obligations.
