The European Commission has announced that there are no signals of mass migration from Iran, despite the conflict in the country.

The European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Magnus Brunner, stated that the situation is being closely monitored, and the Commission is collaborating with partners in the Middle East and international organizations.

As part of the new rules for a common European asylum system, a crisis mechanism has been created to allow Europe to respond quickly to potential crises.

The Commission's priorities include supporting member states and protecting EU citizens, with a focus on their evacuation and repatriation.

Monitoring of risks to transport disruptions in strategic areas, such as the Strait of Hormuz, will also be intensified.

The reform of the EU asylum system, which will come into effect in June, aims to improve the distribution of asylum seekers and accelerate procedures at external borders.
