The spokesperson for the European Commission, Anouar El Anouni, warned that Israel's military intervention in Gaza will cause further destruction and will complicate the humanitarian situation in Gaza even more, putting the lives of hostages at risk. In this context, Kaja Kallas (photo), the head of EU diplomacy, will propose measures to increase pressure on Israel, including sanctions against right-wing extremists and a partial suspension of a trade agreement. Ursula von der Leyen also announced the freezing of European funds intended for Israel.
