The Church of Saint Martin and Saint Vincent the Martyr, located near the city of Poznań, Poland, has launched a unique initiative where drivers can pay the parking fee with prayers instead of money.
Father Paweł Kaczmarek explained that the idea was conceived to encourage drivers to pray for others, offering a practical and accessible alternative. The list of "prices" for parking includes a 'Our Father' prayer for one hour, 'Hail Mary' for two hours, and a decade of the Rosary for three hours.
A whole day of parking costs a mystery from the Rosary. Liturgies and parish meetings are free, and no fines are issued, with the responsibility resting on the driver's conscience. The initiative has been appreciated by the community, being considered a brilliant idea that promotes spirituality.
