Captain Brandon Fisher of Alaska Airlines has filed a lawsuit against Boeing, seeking 10 million dollars, after his aircraft, a Boeing 737 Max, lost a panel of the door during flight 1282 in January 2024. The incident occurred at an altitude of 16,000 feet, forcing the crew to declare an emergency and make an emergency landing.

An NTSB investigation found that the aircraft left the factory without essential screws for securing the panel, and Boeing attempted to shift the blame onto the pilots. Fisher claims that the company's statements have severely affected his emotional well-being. Boeing declined to comment, while Alaska Airlines praised the crew's actions during the incident.
