11 civilians and one soldier have died in the escalating conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, and 31 people have been injured.

Following an intensified clash Thursday morning on the Thai-Cambodian border, 12 people were reported dead, including 11 civilians and one Thai soldier. Thailand's Health Ministry reported 31 injured, including 24 civilians and 7 soldiers. Territorial disputes were exacerbated by open fire by Cambodian troops, and the Thai military responded by deploying F-16 jets and attacks on Cambodian targets.
