Tensions reached a peak in Jakarta on Friday after a delivery driver was reportedly run over by a police car during clashes between law enforcement and students protesting against parliamentary allocations. The protesters marched towards the police mobile brigade headquarters in central Jakarta, and some attempted to breach the premises. A group of protesters set fire to a police post and parked cars near the police headquarters.
