Following a wave of public outrage over the deepfake phenomenon, Telegram has been accused of complicity in the spread of digitally altered images. The platform announced it had removed 25 deepfake videos, recognizing the seriousness of the situation. South Korean authorities have received 118 reports of such videos and seven suspects have been questioned.
