Some 60 financial institutions in Switzerland are currently able to receive and process instant payments, covering more than 95% of retail transactions in the country. While traditional payments are still possible, the NBS emphasizes that the cashless instant payment scheme offers significant advantages, such as simplification and speed of payment procedures.
