Since the beginning of the war, Switzerland has supported Ukraine with 6 billion euros

The Swiss government announced that, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, it has allocated approximately 6.08 billion Swiss francs (approximately 6.6 billion euros) to support Ukraine, focusing on aid for the population, including refugees. Of these funds, about 900 million francs (985 million euros) come from official international cooperation agencies. A significant part of the contribution has been allocated to demining efforts, with an allocation of 100 million francs (110 million euros), positioning Switzerland among the main supporters of this cause.

Switzerland has also committed to contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine, allocating up to 5 billion francs (5.4 billion euros) between 2025 and 2036. Although traditionally neutral, Switzerland has adopted a supportive stance for Ukraine, aligning itself with the European Union sanctions against Russia, which has drawn criticism from the Kremlin. Recently, Russian-Ukrainian negotiations took place in Geneva, mediated by the USA, in the context of this changed position of Switzerland.
