Sweden's Ministry of Defense has announced the signing of agreements with Rheinmetall and Nammo, totaling more than 5 billion Swedish kronor (about $526 million) for artillery ammunition. The agreement with Rheinmetall includes shells and charges for the Archer artillery system, while the contract with Nammo covers 155mm long-range projectiles. The investments are part of Sweden's efforts to strengthen its national security and contribute to NATO's defenses after formally joining the alliance in March 2022.
