Students at Stanford University organized a protest during the graduation speech of Google CEO, Sundar Pichai, to protest the company's ties to Israel and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Participants, part of the group 'Students for Justice in Palestine', carried Palestinian flags and signs with messages such as 'Genocide is happening on Google'.

The protest was a reaction to Google's controversial agreement with the Israeli government, called 'Project Nimbus', which involves providing cloud computing services and artificial intelligence. This contract, worth $1.2 billion, was signed in 2021, in the context of Israel testing AI-based surveillance systems. Although Google denied that its technology would be used for military purposes, students highlighted the company's reprehensible actions in collaborating with Israeli authorities and ICE. Pichai's speech focused on optimism and challenges, but did not address the critical issues raised by the protesters.
