Cyclone Alice caused major damage in Spain, where torrential rains flooded roads in Catalonia, causing traffic jams and emergency situations in several regions. 100,000 people in Murcia were left without drinking water, and in Ibiza, authorities intervened to rescue people trapped in cars. In Mexico, the floods led to the death of at least 44 people, destroying 1,000 kilometers of roads and complicating rescue operations. Nearly 10,000 soldiers are mobilized to assist the rescue teams.
