SpaceX has reached an agreement in a lawsuit filed by Cards Against Humanity, which accuses Elon Musk's company of trespassing and damaging land it owns in Texas. Court documents show that the agreement was made last month, a few weeks before a trial scheduled for November 3. Cards Against Humanity, based in Chicago, purchased the land in 2017 as part of an action against the construction of the border wall with Mexico.
In its complaint, the company claims that SpaceX treated the property as its own for at least six months, storing construction materials without permission. SpaceX acknowledged the trespassing during the trial, and Cards Against Humanity decided to reach an agreement to avoid the costs of a trial. The company stated that the land will be restored with the help of a local landscaping firm. Although it sought $15 million in damages, Cards Against Humanity warned that donors might receive only a symbolic amount.
