South Korea's Constitutional Court began a first meeting on Monday to discuss the timing of Yoon Suk Yeol's impeachment proceedings after the leader's failed attempt to impose martial law.
On Saturday evening, members of parliament passed a motion to impeach Yoon, who has since been suspended, as punishment for his brief martial law on the night of December 3-4.
