American President Donald Trump was received with pomp in South Korea, where he was honored with the 'Order of Mugunghwa', the highest distinction of the country, for his contribution to peace on the Korean Peninsula. His landing was marked by an escort of fighter jets and a military band. Trump discussed trade negotiations with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and reiterated the invitation to meet again with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Lee requested Trump's support to obtain permission to use fuel for nuclear submarines and for the reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel. During the meeting, Trump also received a replica of the Cheonmachong crown, symbolizing a new era of peaceful coexistence in the region.
