Slovakia has recorded a temperature of 42.2°C, surpassing the previous record of 41.4°C

Slovakia has recorded a new absolute temperature record, reaching 42.2°C, according to the national meteorological agency. The measurement was taken in Dolne Plachtince, a village in the south of the country, and surpassed the previous record of 41.4°C, set a day earlier in the southwest of Slovakia. The extreme heatwave is affecting all of Central Europe, and in the capital Bratislava, residents are facing unprecedented temperatures.

Maros Danko, a 38-year-old man, stated that he prefers to stay indoors, avoiding outdoor activities due to the unbearable heat. It is important to mention that the temperature record was broken twice in June, highlighting the extreme climate trends in the region.
