Slovakia is close to signing an agreement with US company Westinghouse to build a new nuclear reactor at the Jaslovske Bohunice power plant, according to Prime Minister Robert Fico. The investment, estimated at €10bn, will add a 1,250-megawatt unit, expanding the country's nuclear capacity. Slovakia, which currently has five nuclear reactors, aims to increase its nuclear power production in the coming decades.
