World 100m champion Sha'Carri Richardson was arrested on July 27 after a violent argument with her partner, Christian Coleman, at Seattle airport. The incident was caught on CCTV and Richardson allegedly pushed Coleman, causing him to fall violently. Although he initially withdrew from the 100m semi-finals, Richardson later confirmed that he will compete at the World Championships in Tokyo, with a guaranteed spot thanks to his title in 2023.
